THE OPPORTUNITY

## The Era of Autonomy is the sixth great technological wave

Five technological waves have reshaped the global economy over the past two centuries: steam, rail, electrification, mass production, and the digital revolution. Each created more wealth than all previous waves combined. The pattern is consistent: enabling technology emerges, infrastructure builds over decades, then value concentrates in companies positioned at the right convergence points. 

**We are now at the beginning of the sixth wave.**

The Era of Autonomy is defined by machines that sense, decide, and act without human intervention. Not software optimizing human workflows, but independent systems operating in the physical world. Autonomous warehouses where robots coordinate directly with delivery vehicles. Energy grids that self-optimize in real-time. Industrial systems that predict and prevent their own failures. The companies building this infrastructure are being founded now, and the value creation window is open.
